Game – Art Program ： 3years

Video games have become one of the leading forms of artistic expression in the 21st century. Game art requires a combination of talents, hard work and passion. The Game – Art three-year advanced diploma is a rigorous program of study that focuses on the principles and techniques of video game art creation required to break into the industry.

Video Design and Production Program：（2 years (4 semesters)）

With media shifting away from traditional models of broadcasting towards new and innovative methods, a broader skill set is required. George Brown College’s Video Design & Production diploma program will expose students to traditional and emerging filmic techniques

Game – Programming Program:

3 years (6 semesters)

Whether it’s online or console, cell phone or PC-based, the game industry in Canada is large and growing rapidly. Game developers and publishers in the Greater Toronto Area range from small specialized units to mid-sized companies to Microsoft, Nintendo and other industry leaders. Computer programmers are the fundamental resource for companies that develop, produce, distribute and market computer-based games. In fact, our industry advisers tell us it is the technical skills that are most in demand – a demand that this George Brown program is focused on meeting.

2.辛尼加學(xué)院

Animation：

6 Semesters (3 Years)

Within six semesters, you'll acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in both traditional and computer animation. Developed to meet the specific demands of studios in need of highly-trained animators, the curriculum focuses on balancing creative and technical skills to create a high quality industry-ready portfolio. This is accomplished through the artistic application of the theories of motion, timing, storytelling, design and the latest digital technology required to work successfully in the competitive world of 2D and 3D animation.

Additional Requirements:

Attend an admission session and complete a drawing and writing assignment

Submit a portfolio of work online – the portfolio should include:

Two life drawings

Two drawings of your own hand

Two object drawings

Two environment drawings

Two drawings of your choice

A written profile

A resume with the focus on any professional or volunteer positions that demonstrate creative or artistic talents

3D Animation：

研文 2 Semesters (8 Months)

Specialize in 3D computer-based modeling and animation. As a student in this program, you’ll use the latest in high-end computer workstations and learn the tools to problem-solve, and to create industry ready demo reels using Maya, Nuke, Mental Ray and the Arnold Renderer. This two-semester program allows you to focus your career on 3D animation.

Additional Requirements:

Portfolio 8 1/2 x 11 photocopies done in pencil, conté, ink, pastel or charcoal that include:

6 life drawings: must show entire body including head, hands and feet of subject in various poses

2 drawings of your own hand: drawn from observation.

2 object drawings: everyday items from around your house such as a kitchen appliance, coffee maker, can opener, TV remote, stapler, etc.

2 environment drawings: draw a twopoint perspective view of a room in your house from opposite corners; the horizon line should be at five (5) feet

2 drawings of your choice: choose your best two drawings

3.謝爾丹學(xué)院

對(duì)美術(shù)功底要求極高，非常注重作品集。

Computer Animation：

Intensive hands-on training

Over eight months you’ll work with the same high-end 3D computer animation software, technology and techniques the professionals use — but you’ll also learn:

Animation principles and practices

Story structure

Character development

Character performance

Directing

Full-Time 1 yr (2 semesters)

Digital Creature Animation – Technical Direction

Create characters and creatures audiences will remember

Working in the Sheridan Centre for Animation and Emerging Technologies (SCAET), you'll advance in your ability to create memorable characters/creatures, from script to storyboard to modelling and advanced rigging, all the way through to post-production.
